– LOOKING BACK ON 2016 –

2016 has been such an amazing year so far for CSD – Here is a look back on (only) some of the highlights from our year…

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS
On October 6th, 2016 CSD celebrated three decades of dance excellence! Thirty years ago, the doors of CSD opened for the very first time, welcoming the first class of students. We have come a long way in the last 30 years and we are beyond proud of the CSD family we have built along the way. Thank you dancers, parents, teachers, and friends!

CSD WON JUNIOR AND SENIOR ELITE 6 AT ADA NATIONALS IN NYC!
CSD captured first place as the Junior and Senior Winners of the 2016 ADA Nationals, and it’s only the second time in history that a single dance school has managed to win both titles in the same year!

PURPLE BLOOD CANCER GALA
CSD dancers took to the stage on September 29th in support of the Ottawa Hospital Foundation Blood Cancer Fund. Giving a flawless performance, our dancers were professional and poised in every way – on and off the stage. Great dancing for a great cause!

ADAPT AND RAD EXAMS
Congratulations to all students who participated in this year’s ADAPT and RAD exams! We are positive that they did very well as they were working very hard in all of their classes.

EXCITING NEWS ABOUT OUR DANCERS
– Colin Griffiths was accepted to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s summer program. He will attend this summer for 4 weeks.
– Daeva Miles and Nigel Clifford were accepted into the Ballet Jorgens and will perform in Swan Lake.
– Shayla McQuinn was accepted into the Alberta Ballet School and will be playing a mouse in the Nutcracker.

2016 has been an amazing year so far and we look forward to an even more amazing 2017!
