Guest Choreographer: Vlad
Vlad is well known for creative choreography and his talent for story-telling through dance. Born in Russia, Vlad trained at the Ballet Academy (Vaganova System) and Rimski-Corsakoff Conservatory with a major in choreography. Vlad also received full training in Musicology/Music History, Composition, Music Theory, and piano (certified musician).
Vlad has developed choreography for professional dance companies and film and is frequently invited to appear as a guest teacher and choreographer throughout North America. Prior to opening his VDC studio, Vlad was on the dance faculty at various professional schools such as Randolph School of the Arts, Sheridan College, and Dance Teq (within the National Ballet of Canada). Currently based in the Toronto area, some Vlad’s students have achieved success on an international scale in dance, film, theatre, television, including on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”, “Canada’s got Talent” and “The Next Step”.
We are pleased to have Vlad join us at CSD to teach and lead choreography in Contemporary and Lyrical dance.
