Guest Choreographer: Scott Fowler
As our CSD dance season continues, we are excited about the amazing guest choreographers joining us this year. We’re pleased to introduce you to Scott Fowler.
Scott is a New England native who has performed in no fewer than six Broadway shows and two national tours, including “Jerome Robbins Broadway”, “Swing”, and Twyla Tharp’s “Movin’ Out”. Scott has appeared in a number feature films such as “Rock of Ages”, “Gangster Squad”, “Bedtime Stories”, “Inspector Gadget”, and more, including best picture Oscar winner “Chicago”. Scott appears in the film “Lucky Stiff”, in which he is not only a dancer but the associate choreographer.
Scott also has a number of television credits including appearances on “Bunheads”, “So You Think You Can Dance”, “Dancing with the Stars”, “Glee”, and the Tony Bennett TV Special “An American Classic”, among many others. Scott, who also danced early in his career with the New York City Ballet has appeared in over 30 television commercials for companies like Nissan, Old Navy, Gap, Diet Coke, and more. He continues to perform in live shows – from the Oscars to the Emmys – teach, choreograph and spread the love of dance.
Scott is featured in a bonus live action musical number included on the DVD release of Disney’s animation “Frozen”.
Scott is grateful and gives thanks to his uncle and mentor Bill Fowler for his love of dance and looks forward to sharing it with our CSD dancers as he leads Jazz and Musical Theatre.
