CSD Nationals Results 2013 NYC

The CSD faculty is more than proud of all of our dancers at this past ADA national competition in NYC! Not only did CSD hold their own among some 65 other studios present, but also we experienced some serious accomplishments over the week.

We had several dance numbers in each of 3 Dance-offs, young, junior and senior.  Many of those were nominated which means an overall placement of 7th or above as an overall for the entire competition for each varying division. Our Jr. Production placed 3rd overall productions and the duet Not As We – Selena Simard and Connor Mitton also placed 3rd overall for senior duet/trios.

Our solo titlists represented us extremely well with George Burden Cheresna coming in 1st runner up for junior male title and winning the titles tap class, also Vincent Romeo placing 2nd runner up for teen male, and Connor Mitton 3rd runner up for senior male dancer of the year. Connor Mitton along with Katie Wetmore both won titles tap classes for their respective divisions. Top 10 placements were held by Bryn True-McManus in young, and Katherine Ebata and Katie Wetmore for senior female dancer of the year. Kudos to all participants!

Many of the dancers placed in overall age divisions for solos as well as having group placements in same. Several accomplished personal bests in their solo runs and also were able to leave the stage having laid it all out their for their groups, a feeling that cannot be rewarded with a plaque or medal, but something they will carry with them for years to come.

My sincere thanks to all of the helping parents, especially Steve Clifford, Serge Bosquet and Allan Burnside whose dedication to props was so very much appreciated! Our thanks to Dan Cheresna and Paul Adjeleian for driving the trailer to and from NYC and ensuring that everything made its way safely. George and Stacey Missios were instrumental in getting everything loaded and accounted for before we even started out and again we are greatful for their efforts. Many thanks to all of the parents for enabling these kids to experience NYC and the dance talent that we saw… It was truly incredible!
