She has been on the full time competitive team for the last 2 years and she loves it! We have been so impressed with all the teachers and the amazing work they do. Our daughter and the other dancers have improved tremendously over the last 3 years. The way the older dancers take care of, and mentor the younger ones is so heartwarming. Since day one, we have been welcomed with open arms into the CSD community. We are so proud to be part of the CSD family! I moved my daughter to CSD last year when the dance school we were with had only two other dancers at her age and ability level to compete with. She found a home on the PT team and now she gets to live her dream of performing in a huge Jazz Line. It has taken her some time, but she has slowly made friends and is a proud and fiercely loyal member of the PT 3 team. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and she has made huge gains in Ballet, Jazz and Tap (most recently having the honor of being invited to the Advanced Tap class). I recently joined the Adult Tap and Ballet and have rediscovered my passion for dance and it has done wonders for my mental and physical health. I too have made many new friends and adore my teachers and cannot wait to see what the future holds! As an adult (zero dance experience) taking 2 of the dance classes offered, I have found the classes rewarding & inclusive of all, from total beginners (me!) to those who have danced before. Tap with Kailey S. is fun, engaging yet challenging! Ballet with Nancy P. is the joy of ballet, emphasis on proper alignment & exercises. Both teachers, & in their classes, offer a balance of encouragement and constructive teaching. I encourage everyone to try a class; this is now my 2nd year at the Canadian School of Dance.
